Commercial Description:
Desire coupled with curiosity can drive you to do many foolish things. Fortunately, opening a bottle of our Pandora’s Bock is not one of them. Once it is released, a wealth of flavor and complexity will spill out into the world. With a traditional bock flavor profile and a hint of hoppy goodness, there’s a reason it’s spoken about in mythical terms.

Sample from Imperial. Definite rusty amber color with frothy cream head. Smells malty. A little bit of grass perhaps. Vanilla, toffee in the nose. Different flavor. Carries in the roof of the mouth, smooth and sweet. A little bit of Christmas in there I think. Dry finish , not a hint of hops. Slightly tinny.

12 oz bottle: Pours a light amber with virtually no head. The aroma is dominated by caramel. The taste is dark fruit, figs, raisins, and a int of butterscotch. The palate is medium light, which is lighter than I would expect for the style. The alcohol is well masked. This beer is okay but I won’t seek it out again.

Pours a caramel color with a small off white head. Aroma is caramel, malt, fruits and grain. Flavor is dark malts, fruits, bread, nuts, caramel. Easy to drink, but doesn’t really stand out much. Decent bock.

Courtesy MrBunn. Pours reddish brown, decent head. Smells of apple cider. A little thin in the mouth, but not bad. A little sweet in the finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a medium brown with a one finger tan head. Aromas are grainy with a little bit of leather and fruit. Flavor is sweet and dark malt with a bit of a plum like fruitiness that is pretty good. I’m not picking up much tartness. Finish is brown sugar sweetness.

I had high hopes for this. But the beer failed. Color is nice enough...amber. Aroma isn’t all that bad, malty and a bit fruity. Flavor is too tart and sour with no development towards a true dunkler bock. Not sure where it went wrong, but it did.

A dark reddish amber bock with a thin off white head. A classy dunkle with lots of nutty malt in aroma, fruity esters and light vanilla. In mouth, a nice sweetish malt with nutty notes, oily mouth feel and bananas. Medium bodied. On tap at Ballpark brewpub 24 Jan. 2009.

12 oz. bottle from Tmoney99. Pours a clear copper color with a few off white bubbles. The aroma is sweet, fruity, cherries and white grapes with a wine-like quality, light malts. The flavor is just not good. It is almost like they blended a white wine with a bock. No carbonation, sweet, thin, some alcohol. I just don’t like this one at all.
