Commercial Description:
Desire coupled with curiosity can drive you to do many foolish things. Fortunately, opening a bottle of our Pandora’s Bock is not one of them. Once it is released, a wealth of flavor and complexity will spill out into the world. With a traditional bock flavor profile and a hint of hoppy goodness, there’s a reason it’s spoken about in mythical terms.

Deep dark red amber with a good head and sheets of lacing on the glass. Aroma is a bit metalic along with fruits and caramel, malts and a bit of citrus. Not bad.

Pours dark amber brown with a fairly large tan head. Aroma is a mixture of pale and caramel malt. Flavor is a slightly sweet caramel flavor that is also slightly sour. Not bad but not great.

Cloudy orange/brown color with a very thin white head. Bready, biscuity smell that was pretty offputting given the dirty socks smell that went along with it. This beer had an incredibly sour, infected taste that lead to an immediate drain pout. Definitely will not be buying this one again.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a red-orange color with a small fizzy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel malts, molasses, and fruits. Flavor is caramel malts, fruits, and citrus hops. Mouthfeel is somewhat dry, bitter, medium bodied. Decent and drinkable beer, but not a bock.

dark apricot cloudy pour with almost non-existent head and no lacing, this strong winter warmer is not as good as it should be or as bad as it seems to be at times. fruity, strong malty taste and not the best finish. it’s best service seems to be keep one warm at night with its 7.5% abv

Pours amber with a fully receding tan head. Notes of thick caramel, bready malt, plums and some spicy phenols which are a bit undesirable for this beer. Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Not bad, but the lager fermentation seems a bit unclean.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours ruby with a nice big head. The aroma is slightly sour with dashes of malt and metal. The flavor is notably sour and slightly rotten tasting with a dash of malt and alcohol. The palate is creamy but still high carbonation.

bottle - Pours hazy auburn with a very small head. It smells of sour grapes. Uh oh. It tastes of sour grapes and maybe a little malt. It’s quite thin, too. This beer is infected. There is no way they gave it this strong sour fruit flavor on purpose. From the commercial description: "a traditional bock flavor profile". Not even close. Judging by the numerous ratings here that mention obvious sour or tart fruit notes, it’s often infected, so I’m going to go ahead and enter my rating. Drain pour. Beware!

Bottle, #489. Maroon pour with small head. Weird aroma and flavor, a bit mediciny. Not a good bock, pretty disappointing.
