Commercial Description:
Desire coupled with curiosity can drive you to do many foolish things. Fortunately, opening a bottle of our Pandora’s Bock is not one of them. Once it is released, a wealth of flavor and complexity will spill out into the world. With a traditional bock flavor profile and a hint of hoppy goodness, there’s a reason it’s spoken about in mythical terms.

Hazy red-brown body with minimal beige head. Aroma is very sweet, molasses, caramel, slight metallic. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, butterscotch, molasses, some cola, light alcohol. Full body, fairly sticky.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and hazy copper color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toastiness, some grains, and a little earthy. Tastes of toasted grains, caramel, tart grape skins, and citrus. This one seemed to be all over the place.

(draught) Slightly hazy (chill haze?) red-chestnut; very slim, yellowish head. Soapy nose; touch of vanilla & raspberry. Taste is perfumed: vanilla, lime peel (kafir lime), strawberry; served way too cold. Medium bodied. Very perfumed - but that's not what a Bock's about. Even a hint of phenolic-benzene.

Bottle from Pat’s Liquors in Porter, Indiana: It pours a clear chestnut body with a smallish beige head and produces a small amount of slippery lace. The aroma is like a malty syrup, very sweet. A very light roastiness is added to the flavor, but the sweetness is pretty well unchecked. Once was enough for this one.

Small lid of light beige bubbles atop clear copper colored liquid. Very sweet aroma with caramel, toasted malt and a touch of vanilla and alcohol. Sweet fruity flavors. light raspberries and pears. Not very becoming for a bock. Finishes with a touch of bitterness and a bit of alcohol. Seems simple.

Bottle from S&V, Fort Wayne. Poured hazy deep brown with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate complex toasted sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate balanced malty sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

Thanks to JPDIPSO for this one. Pours deep amber with an off-white/almost tan head. Aroma of Concord grapes, malt, hops, fruit, melon, cherries (I thought the aroma of this one was superb). Tastes very malty, fruity, with hints of Concord wine, caramel, multi-faceted fruit. Finishes malty, with a semi-dry, crispness. Medium mouthfeel.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium to dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel), trace hops (flowers). Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Very little of interest in the nose, and needs more to balance the syrupy sweet malt. Can’t recommend it.
