Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium to dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel), trace hops (flowers). Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Very little of interest in the nose, and needs more to balance the syrupy sweet malt. Can’t recommend it. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 18, 2004 A little malt in the aroma. Fairly light and thin. Would be great for warm weather. Typical of Breckenridge, this beer is light and not complex, but still very drinkable. A little Band-Aid and caramel in the flavor. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 24, 2005 Bottled: Muddled orangy brown hue minimal head or lace. The aroma has notes of carmelized and bready malts, honeycomb, currant, ripen apple, allspice, vanilla, and earthy yeast esters. The taste starts sweet and caramel covered apple overtone. Not much in bittters or depth here. A touch of that flat cola taste which is a turn off. Some spicy undertones on the finish. The feel is smooth and a bit boring, a bit metallic on the end. Straight forward simple beer that is below average even when compared to most american made bocks. Ughsmash (4058), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Bottled. Poured slightly hazy cherried-amber with a short cap of off-white head (more prolific around the edges). The aroma picked up toasted caramel and darker fruits with a dry, woodsy impression.. came across as decent but nothing special. The flavor picked up sweeter caramel and fruits with lesser brown sugar at the core.. earthy bitterness and a touch of prickly alcohol surrounded.. finished strong and bitter. Medium-bodied and slick on the palate with some tackiness on the back.. quite dry. This was decent, but I wouldn’t care for another. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

Small to medium sized beige foamy head, with decent retention. The aroma is caramel, bready and sweet. A light to medium bodied dunkel bock. The malts are bready and sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. A touch thin and a little under-carbonated. A little bland. This beer needs to be way maltier. Hides the alcohol well. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. The finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

Some sweet malty cherry aroma light earthiness, cardboard...oh man two strikes in a row... Fizzy black cherry knock off brand soda pop. Malty, notes of sour milk, hint of roastiness. This beer is a dam mess.
