Nice brownish pour that appears viscous at times. Has some gunk on the bottom that yeilds a swirling hypnotizing effect in the glass. Very mild candy aroma. Initial weird grapefruit flavor without any bitterness or sweetness on the first slug. Some noticable alky in the background. Decent carbonation all round even tho there was no head. Finish is not over whelming yet it does have some ale attributes. FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma was faint sweet, tangy and sour malts. The flavor was sweet, tangy, tart and fruity yet malty with a medium length finish. The mouthfeel was thick and smooth. Very good. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 1, 2008 12oz. bottle, thanks to natedoggkc. Sweet nose of caramel and toasty malt along with a very light touch of floral hops and dark honey. Clear medium-dark amber color with a slight, subsiding head. Flavor is similarly malty and sweet, more toasted, sugary caramel and vague hint of dried fruit on the finish, which also shows a negligible amount of bitterness. Smooth and low in effervescence on the palate, body is medium. Easy to quaff, nearly as easy to forget. cbkschubert (2017), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2004 12oz bottle-thanks to JPDISPO for this suprise (I wasnt expecting much). Pours a deep copper/amber hue with 1/2 inch tan head. Very nice sweet, malty, sugary aroma with a noble hop bite. flavros are sugary, notes of grape, cherries, noble hops, caramel malts. I think this was a good example of a bock. my only problem with this one was the start of the flavors. It had a metalic start, but other than that, it was damn good. ucusty (1915), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Hazy copper with a small light tan head. Sweet caramel and molasses, quite sweet. Flavor is similar but has some odd metallic components that do not jive with all of that sweetness. Stick medium body. Harsh finish. Not so great.
