Not my favorite as far as bocks go, but nonetheless it goes really nice along with barbequed chicken.... Crash (448), Macomb, Illinois, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vivid ruby red color with a trace of a khaki head. The aroma was faint sweet, tangy and sour malts. The flavor was sweet, tangy, tart and fruity yet malty with a medium length finish. The mouthfeel was thick and smooth. Very good. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 21, 2009 Sweet nose of caramel and toasty malt along with a very light touch of floral hops and dark honey. Clear medium-dark amber color with a slight, subsiding head. Flavor is similarly malty and sweet, more toasted, sugary caramel and vague hint of dried fruit on the finish, which also shows a negligible amount of bitterness. Smooth and low in effervescence on the palate, body is medium. Easy to quaff, nearly as easy to forget. nbutler11 (741), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2009 Bottle from Papago. One of the finer beer names I can think of. Pours a rich amber color with a trim beige head. Smells of vanilla yogurt and faint hops. Tastes of each with additional notes of tart raspberries and caramel. Interesting flavor that I would definitely revisit. Seems underrated. VitaminR (428), Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Malty caramel, slight molasses. Reddish brown color, medium head. Deep sweetness, caramel, raisins, and a nice bitter balance. Good carbonation, medium mouth feel, malty, but cleanish finish. Very solid beer, deep flavors and satisfying. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2009 Deep dark red amber with a good head and sheets of lacing on the glass.
Aroma is a bit metalic along with fruits and caramel, malts and a bit of citrus.
Not bad. Lubiere (4491), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 17, 2009 A dark reddish amber bock with a thin off white head. A classy dunkle with lots of nutty malt in aroma, fruity esters and light vanilla. In mouth, a nice sweetish malt with nutty notes, oily mouth feel and bananas. Medium bodied. On tap at Ballpark brewpub 24 Jan. 2009.
