stefanberggren (134), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Apr 28, 2003 A nice drinkable bock that was not over assertive and lended very nicely to the malt side of things. Not my favorite as far as bocks go, but nonetheless it goes really nice along with barbequed chicken.... Crash (431), Macomb, Illinois, USA Mar 22, 2003 ratman197 (2043), Arvada, Colorado, USA Apr 25, 2008 Bottle poured a clear amber with a lasting light amber head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt and a hint of dark fruit. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of carmel, toasted malt, light cocoa and a hint of dark fruit with a smooth lingering malty finish. Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Sep 17, 2004 12oz bottle-thanks to JPDISPO for this suprise (I wasnt expecting much). Pours a deep copper/amber hue with 1/2 inch tan head. Very nice sweet, malty, sugary aroma with a noble hop bite. flavros are sugary, notes of grape, cherries, noble hops, caramel malts. I think this was a good example of a bock. my only problem with this one was the start of the flavors. It had a metalic start, but other than that, it was damn good. Slick (1955), Minnesota, USA May 23, 2004 Amber/orange color, small white head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind. The aroma was malty and maybe a bit of fruit,a slight hint at the alcohol.Light malt flavor with a hint of possibly orange or lemon, mild hops and the alcohol seems to stay fairly well hidden with just a faint coming through at best.Nice smooth brew that would work well for a lawnmower brew.
