It's very odd and hard to place but I am picking up some sort of toffee or caramel also. The tongue is very thin and almost tasteless. Some light malt, and sweetness seem to make up the bulk fo this one. There isn't much to it at all. This would be a good session beer were it not for the 7.2% abv, which is not discernable either. Decent but nothing to rave about. Alcoholist (570), Peoria, Illinois, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 26, 2009 12 oz bottle: Pours a light amber with virtually no head. The aroma is dominated by caramel. The taste is dark fruit, figs, raisins, and a int of butterscotch. The palate is medium light, which is lighter than I would expect for the style. The alcohol is well masked. This beer is okay but I won’t seek it out again. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Overall it is malty and sweet with something sour and I’m not quite enjoying in the middle. I’m not sure how to completely describe it, but it seems to be a cross between acetaldehyde (green apple) and burn malt. Overall this is a decent beer, but probably not one I will return to in the future.
12 fl. oz. bottle from Tmoney99. Thanks Tom! Rating #105 for this beer.

fruity, strong malty taste and not the best finish. it’s best service seems to be keep one warm at night with its 7.5% abv Gregis (1133), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 22, 2008 Updated: Apr 23, 2008Bottle courtesy of natedoggkc. Thanks for the bottle, Nate. Pours a clear, dark reddish copper with a thin, fizzy, beige head that reduces rapidly to a mall island of tiny bubbles at the surface. The nose is of cocoa and caramel with a mildly vegetal note and light, earthy hops in the background. Light-bodied with fine, tongue scrubbing carbonation and a quick, slightly astringent finish. The flavor follows the nose with a lightly roasty, cocoa and earthy hopped finish. It’s a decent brew, but if you’re looking for a solid example of the style, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. colts9016 (198), Idaho, USA

Nose: Maltly, wheat, citrus.
Taste: Malt character with hints of wheat and citrus. There tends to be a bit of hops on the finish but it is very null.
Body: Medium
Finish Slightly acidic, the beer is okay not great but okay. HomeBrewHawk (279), De Soto, Kansas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 9, 2008 12oz. brown bottle served in a pilsner glass. Poured a clear dark gold with a thin off white head. Nice maltiness in the aroma with a hint of noble hops. That’s about as good as it got. Flabby, caramel malt flavor, medium body. Some noble hop bitterness in the finish. Fairly drinkable. No defects, just another weak American attempt at a bock.
