Commercial Description:
Desire coupled with curiosity can drive you to do many foolish things. Fortunately, opening a bottle of our Pandora’s Bock is not one of them. Once it is released, a wealth of flavor and complexity will spill out into the world. With a traditional bock flavor profile and a hint of hoppy goodness, there’s a reason it’s spoken about in mythical terms.

On tap at the Breckenridge tasting room in Denver. Pours a reddish orange, see through body with a thin, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a small amount of lace. Aroma...is it there? A small amount of toasty caramel malts and a bit of grassy hops...but that’s really all I’m picking up. Flavor is a little better, but that really isn’t saying much. Slightly toasted caramels giving it a lightly charred taste, but leaving it very bland and sweet. I guess I’m picking up a hint of grassy hops in the finish, but really not a lot. Palate is medium bodied, malty, and smooth. Overall, the only reason I tried this was because I was at the tasting room and it was seasonal. Pretty boring and bland. Eh. (4,3,5,3,09)Re-rate: On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a clear reddish amber with a thick, dark tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves some light lacing. I’m still asking where the aroma is! Flavor is a little better than I remember. Malty with some toasted caramels, citrus cherry, and an even hop bitterness. Finishes dry with a lingering taste of fruity malts and toasted caramels with a touch of bitterness. Medium bodied and smooth. Overall, better tasting than I remember at the tap room, but still fairly boring. I’ll give it a few more points. (4,3,6,3,11)

Pours an off-white head with a copper color body. Smells of grass and sour. Tastes the same with some fruity, roasty, and vegetal notes. Finish has a nice refreshing sourness.

12 OZ bottle served in a clear pint glass. It pours a rusty amber color with very little head. Nose is malt and slightly sour/bitter cherries. Taste is a semi bitter cherry, which lingers its bitter aspects on the palate long after the sip is swallowed. This brew is over carbonated and comes off more as a cherry cider than a beer. I probably wouldn’t drink this beer again.

12oz. bottle, thanks to natedoggkc. Sweet nose of caramel and toasty malt along with a very light touch of floral hops and dark honey. Clear medium-dark amber color with a slight, subsiding head. Flavor is similarly malty and sweet, more toasted, sugary caramel and vague hint of dried fruit on the finish, which also shows a negligible amount of bitterness. Smooth and low in effervescence on the palate, body is medium. Easy to quaff, nearly as easy to forget.

Hazy red-brown body with minimal beige head. Aroma is very sweet, molasses, caramel, slight metallic. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, butterscotch, molasses, some cola, light alcohol. Full body, fairly sticky.

A little malt in the aroma. Fairly light and thin. Would be great for warm weather. Typical of Breckenridge, this beer is light and not complex, but still very drinkable. A little Band-Aid and caramel in the flavor.

Murky brown color with a medium head. Caramel malt and light apple aroma. Slightly sour apple flavor. Dense and muddled grain. A little cardboardy.

Hazy copper with a small light tan head. Sweet caramel and molasses, quite sweet. Flavor is similar but has some odd metallic components that do not jive with all of that sweetness. Stick medium body. Harsh finish. Not so great.
