The aroma is malty with dark, but unripe, fruit and fig. Flavor is rye, spice, vanilla, sugar, toffee, and earthiness. A deep and long lasting bitter aftertaste. An interesting but not really enjoyable flavor. thehoff (569), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA

Definite rusty amber color with frothy cream head. Smells malty. A little bit of grass perhaps. Vanilla, toffee in the nose. Different flavor. Carries in the roof of the mouth, smooth and sweet. A little bit of Christmas in there I think. Dry finish , not a hint of hops. Slightly tinny. hopdog (5576), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
