Aromas of caramel, toastiness, some grains, and a little earthy. Tastes of toasted grains, caramel, tart grape skins, and citrus. This one seemed to be all over the place. yemenmocha (363), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 17, 2009 Pours medium amber with contrasting white head. Nose is on the "sweet" side with honey and bready malt. On the palate the malt is noticeable right away, but this is a lighter bock than most and the lighter bodied malt component fades into the honeyed finish. Alcohol is noticed on the finish also. Clean and refreshing. Good for those who like a lighter bock. I’d recommend this as a gateway beer to German style bocks.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2009 Happy that I didn’t buy a six pack of this beer. Little to no head with this one. Translucent and fairly dark brown. Fairly malty aroma. A strange toffee aroma as well. Dare I say I am smelling something sweet coming from this beer. Not a muted beer in terms of aroma, but fairly pungent. Weird taste. Almost a short lived malty sort of sweet flavor. This one is hard to describe. I haen’t tried a beer like this ever before, in terms of taste. I am having such a hard time nailing down what I am actually tasting. Not a bad palate; the beer is smooth on the tongue. Overall, malty beer with a lot of malt flavor and aroma, but nothing that I would want to try again. ucusty (1887), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 15, 2009 This one is just boring!!! Chestnut pour with a reddish hue and small tan head that left average lacing. Caramel, toffee, and malt...no depth at all. Medium mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Highly drinkable and invisible ABV. esjaygee (1519), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 18, 2008 Amber with an off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts and light fruit. Taste of sweet malts, mild fruits, mostly malty. Drinkable and forgettable. Typical watery brew from BreckenWater, how in the world does this brewery get wide distribution… so many better ones out there. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber/gold color with a lacking white head. It looks a little lighter than I was expecting. Aroma falls short. I get subtle hints of caramel and a tinge on citrus but I had to look hard for them. Flavor is a little on the under noted side. This could be a bit more upfront. There are hints of caramel and maybe fruit at the end. Kinda weird It is very easy to drink, just not very "full" flavored. Not bad, just not great.
