Pours a light cloudy gold color with a small white head. Aroma is light with grains. Taste is full with a wheat and malt taste with virtually no aftertaste. It drinks clean, and is probably good on hot summer days. I’d drink it on that occasion. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 19, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a golden yellow, cloudy body with virtually no head. Aroma was smokey, yeasty, and sweaty. This was a heavy-bodied beer with a bit of syrupy semi-sweetness and low carbonation, not something I would rely on to cool me off after an hour of mowing the lawn. The palate was muffled, difficult to pick up specifics, though it has a malty sweetness, followed up by a bitter, dry aftertaste. This was not a bright clean ale by any stretch and have judged it below average based on just that... dmtroyer (415), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2008 12oz. Pours a hazy yellow with an almost non-existent white head. Nose is a bit of lemon zest, citrus and clove. Body has similar notions, some very wine-like properties with some grassiness and mouthwatering acidity. Palate is coated with a creaminess on the finish. Would probably pair up well with some greasy foods. GarrettB (494), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Another dubiously named ale for the summer months, Breckenridge Brewery graces stores with their take on refreshing drinking. My experience with these kinds of seasonals leaves me jaded, but I give it another go. The ash white head is gripping, keeping a heavy veil of bubbles above the mostly clear, light gold bold, itself supported by a wide vent of bubbles stretching the breadth of my Orval glass. The aroma is a soft touch: the pitter-pattering clouds of honey, white grape, fresh grass and freshly applied acryllic paint emit from the glass an otherwise unexciting smell. The flavor is a different matter, with a fluffy palate and flavor that crowds out most of its flavor. I detect an attention hogging carbonation, and muffled somewhere behind it a sweeter touch. This converts itself into a wheaty flavor and then to a expected and unwelcome pale lager bitterness. I’m not rolling back off my chair in disgust - the beer is much too neutral for that. But I find the flavors quiet and meek, as well as simple, suffering behind a buzzing carbonation. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 11, 2008 This wheat beer pours a slightly hazy golden color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is bready and slightly grassy. A light bodied wheat beer. The malts are wheaty and bready. The hops are slightly spicy and a touch floral. Mild flavor. Lively carbonation. Not a lot of flavor. It would be sort of passable as a session beer or a really hot day, which I am guessing is what it brewed for, but still its fairly low in flavor. It kind of has that club soda flavor, but it does finish well. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. agillespie81 (206), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Golden color......thin, though fluffy head. Somewhat of a sweet malt aroma. Light malt flavor up front......crisp mouthfeel. Very slight hint of bitterness in the back. Chipper (193), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Very light and good for the hot weather. Not much in aroma, strong assertive flavors, or spice. But still a nice summer brew. tedovertu (260), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Bottle, Extremely weak aroma, with a small amount of cardboard/grassy hops mix. Hazy yellow color with a small white head. Very little flavor. Lighty acidic on the first pull. Light bodied with a watery texture. Better than the pale lagers of the big breweries for lawn mowing.
