| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2009 tap at Breckenridge brewpub in Denver - Pours very dark brown with a big tan head that laces heavily. It has a rich aroma of chocolate, coffee, and dark roast malt. The flavor is big on the coffee and dark roast malt with the bitter roast and maybe some hops lingering in the finish. It’s full bodied and quite good. It’s interesting how widely the ratings vary here and makes me wonder if the quality of some batches was lacking. This one is excellent though. ratman197 (3252), Arvada, Colorado, USA
