stefanberggren (135), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Apr 28, 2003 Had this beer at the brewery in Denver (Kalamath St.) Nice hoppy hello as you take your first sip, but the beer character just was not there. It seemed to lack a malt backbone and had a strange tinny taste... hmmm
rederic (1507), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 23, 2008 On tap at the Blake street location in Denver, bright honey gold color, with a white head, light honeyed pale malt nose, with some citrus floral hop accents, with a pine aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasty, honeyed malt character, with a grainy, caramel accent, a note of vanilla spiciness, a mild flowery hop leafy accent, leading towards a malty, faint hop bitterness finish. StFun (367), Indiana, USA Oct 19, 2008 Not too big a fan of this one. Basically a macro, but with flavor. Maybe a nice gateway beer, but just wasn’t my thing. Some hops, lots of water, and bitterness. I would grab this instead of a macro in a heartbeat, but wouldn’t buy it if I had other craft options. Taverner (517), San Ramon, California, USA Oct 17, 2008 Draft at DEN airport. Golden orange, white head. Some hops in the flavor - enough to keep you interested. Beyond that its pretty bland tho. Ends on a dry note. unclemattie (1714), Georgia, USA Sep 21, 2008
12oz bottle. pours pale orange, white rocky head. Hearty all hop aroma of citrus hops. big pnw c-note nose. decent malt character, spicy hop bitterness. malt shows signs of caramel the finishes with a long lasting bitterness. it is just the way a full flavored American Pale Ale should be. Overfall the malt character is wholesome, but the bitterness is a bit much for any chance of there being balance. Still tasty though. 8,3,6,2,13 kyzr (991), Belgrade, Montana, USA Sep 15, 2008 Copper pour with decent white head. Light citurs on the nose. Flavor had some hops up front followed by a good bit of malt to wash them away. Medium body with a slightly bitter and roasted finish.
