Commercial Description:
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

bottle: poured brown with a thin head. Smell was of light with vanilla. Flavor was chocolate with a slight hint vanilla. Felt kind of thin in the mouth. I was really hoping for more vanilla. Not bad..just okay....un"remarkable"

Sampled on draft at the Flying Saucer Little Rock. Clear brown pour with ruby highlights. Nutty cherry with light chocolate notes. I picked up some vanilla but I only think because I was looking for it.

Bottle. Dark Brown/Black in color with a nice light tan head. Strong aromatic vanilla. Full body vanilla bean flavor with a sweet mouth feel

This wasnt bad at all. Pours out a darker brown color with nearly no head. aroma was sweet, malty, and of course had plenty of vanilla in to. Flavor did as well. Flavor was choco, and roasted malt, but the finish was all vanilla.

Picked up a sixer of bottles from my neighborhood grocer. Pours dark brown, nearly opaque. Notes of dark chocolate with vanilla undertones. Very thin in the mouth for the style. Decent lacing. Toasty but unsatisfying overall. Definitely a disappointment, and not a purchase I’ll likely make again.

Decent porter with almost no noticeable vanilla. Toasty malt flavor which is well balanced and not too sweet. A little watery for a porter, also not creamy at all. Pretty weak and subpar overall. Not much aroma to speak of. No hops or spices at all.

Dark dark brown red edges, thin tan head. Aroma is light roast, nuts and vanilla. Lots of vanilla in the flavor, some roast, chocolate, strange finish with the overpowering vanilla.

What is with thisbeer. Bottle from variety pack. Nice Sour malt aroma, Dark Brown but pretty clear, great head that holds and lacing. The Vanilla is not prevelant at all, but the full impact with lots of malt and really like a Sour,. . I read the other reiews but I don’t get vanilla at all, so maybe it is aging. ??????
