| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Updated: Oct 30, 2008A light black color, and a small but foamy head. Vanilla does not show up in the aroma. Flavor is a sweet porter with a strong vanilla note. Very little bitterness. Not a magical experience, but I love vanilla. I think it’s a delicious beer. As a beer noob I think I might overrate this one somewhat, but I really like it a lot. Flavor is where it’s at. It is a bit thin and watery. Wasatch (270), Layton, Utah, USA

The nose is malty, with some nice vanilla notes, and some spice. The taste is sweet, malty, hints of vanilla, and some spice. Medium body. Drinkable, this is a nice brew, thanks Bill.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 24, 2008 bottle at Taco Mac. pours a light black with a 1/4’’ tan head. huge vanilla and mild coffee aroma. nice full soft body over the palate... high carbonation on the tip and through the finish. the vanilla dominates this throughout, but thats what separates this one from the normal porter. there is some mild bitterness on the finish as well. overall a nice beer, but kind of a novelty. would not want a whole 6 pack. rederic (1803), montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 24, 2008 On tap at the Denver location, dark-brown color, with a thick tan-colored head, cookie dough nose, with some light spicy vanilla pod accents, some brown chocolate, coffee bean notes, with a mild sweet roasty aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasted malt, vanilla pod character, with a mild roasted coffee bean, mochaish flavor, leading towards a mild roastiness, chocolatey espresso, bitter finish. dolemite77 (184), Maryville, Tennessee, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Pours thin for a porter. Is much lighter than a typical porter. The vanilla has a decent aroma, and it does smell like it would be better than it is... thin, with a bitter/sour note that I doubt is supposed to be there. I might chalk this one up to a bad bottle, but I doubt I’d give it much more of a try. IDunno19 (78), Ames, Iowa, USA

Smooth as silk and beautiful deep caramel head. Had on a whim at the Cyclone Liquors’ tasting and boy am I glad I did. Skinnyviking (4141), Copenhagen, Denmark
