chimplechamp (463), Oslo, Norway Sep 28, 2008 bottle- pours dark brown, quite clear nose is vanilla, not strong, and strange body parts, bellybutton? vag? taste is light. sour berries. tingling. like very light sour cherry, and some cola flavouring. not much to it. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 25, 2008 bottle, dark brown to espresso colored pour? nice foam head, vanilla extract and coffee nose, flavor of vanilla bean, caramel and coffee, finish is nice also bretupdegraff (172), Fishers, Indiana, USA Sep 22, 2008 This is one of the better vanilla flavored brews that I have tried.. maybe the fact it was a porter saved this beer. It was good but I will not reach for it in the future. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 20, 2008 Dark brown pour with a fluffy tan head and drippy lace. Sweet malts and vanilla on the nose. Hazelnuts, chocolate malts upfront. Sweet vanilla finish almost lingers too long emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Sep 13, 2008 Pours a dark brown with some ruby. Thin sticky light tan head. The nose is sweet, lightly grainy, caramel, vanilla extract. The flavor is sweet, vanilla, light tannin feel, caramel, thin and sweet. The moutheel is lightly crisp with some tannic feel. gbdub (73), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Sep 12, 2008 Dark brown with beige head. Medium smoky roasted malt aroma. The vanilla is subtle. Roasted malt, semi-sweet chocolate flavor with a bit more bitterness than I anticipated (this is actually for the best). The vanilla hits in the middle-end of the taste and lingers. Can see how it could be a bit cloying, but I liked it. Medium body. Overall, an average porter, but the vanilla adds an interesting dimension. Not an everyday beer but for the right occasion, pretty decent. lumpsowers (235), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA Sep 11, 2008 Looks great in the glass, dark, barely translucent. Smells like a drunken Christmas cookie. Flavor leaves a lot to be desired, I was excited about this interesting brew, but a metallic alcohol taste is quickly followed by a cloying artificial vanilla taste. Try it once for the experience. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Sep 9, 2008 Bottle 355ml @ [ Tasting in Ulfborg ]. [ Courtesy of kpresley77 ].
