Commercial Description:
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

A dark brown beer with a small head. The aroma has some vanilla as does the taste. Very basic.

This one pours a deep, opaque sable with a fairly thick light tan head. Aroma is smoky and coffee-ish with an overtone of vanilla, a little like coffee with vanilla flavored cream added. Flavor is strongly of fine roast coffee with a sweet vanilla overtone. Texture is very smooth, almost flat and just a little fizzy.

Pours very deep brown, small off white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma of earthy porter with a hint of vanilla. Medium to light body mouth palate. Lightly roasted malts and vanilla flavor immediately. Not bad. This is my first vanilla porter, so take my ratings with a grain of salt.

Pours deep brown with thin off-white head. Light vanilla aroma. Base aroma of roasted malts and a whisp of smoke. Flavor is roasted malts with a little bit of an acidic aftertaste. Vanilla flavor is present, but gives it just a touch of chemical flavor.

Smells a lot like a vanilla coke, not a bad th ing. Also a bit malty. Look is dark brown, orange highlights , minimal head. Speckly ’lacing.’ Palate has toasted notes, is nutty, hoppy, I like that the vanilla is understated. Not bad. Got it at Wegman’s in State College PA, variety pack.

Pours a dark brown. Aroma of toasted malt and vanilla. Taste is slightly sweet with vanilla and an underlying toasted grain flavor. A little too sweet for a porter to my liking. Not bad though.

Waaaay too low a rating for maybe the best vanilla porter ever made! Draft from the Pub in northern, ky this delicious vanilla and chocolate delight is better than most deserts and is soo easy to drink and enjoy. i heartily recommend.

This stuff is decent. The mouthfeel’s a little thin, the vanilla is present, which is nice, but not that amazing.
