502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jul 21, 2009 Bottle into pint glass, A GREAT vnailla character, though a bit too much for more tha once 12 oz. Really nice on the whole if you are a vanilla fan. amp811 (38), Charleston, South Carolina, USA Jul 16, 2009 This beer is a pretty good porter, but it’s not as good as you want it to be. It does not make the best use of its vanilla flavor, and it doesn’t have too many other standout characteristics about it. Above average, but not earth shattering. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jun 27, 2009 Courtesy of markwise. Pours up brown with copper hues and tan head. The aroma is sweet with molasses and prunes. Nice mixture here to create a pleasing aromatic. The taste is chocolate and vanilla revealing a deasert type experience with some roast and mild prune fruity goodness in the background. Pours cola brown with a small off-white head. Nose is roast, vanilla, and slight coffee. Flavor is similar with some sticky vanilla sweetness. Nice mellow porter that is complemented and not overtaken by vanilla. Medium bodied and pretty good overall. Very partakable. beerchugger (285), Colorado, USA Jun 25, 2009 Pours a very dark brown color with a decent tan head that never left. THere were sheets of lace left behind from the head making this a very attractive beer. Smells of raosted malt are most noticeable. There are also hints of sweet vanilla and a tad chocolate. The flavor is mostly the same, but not very outstandish. Almost cloyingly sweet from the overload of vanilla. It has a rather thin mouthfeel.
