| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 25, 2007 Poured a dark brown with minimal white head. Aroma was dark, sweet malt with just a slight hint of the vanilla. In the flavor, the malt was more dark and roasted. The vanilla is used well in this brew. It’s not overwhelming (but close), but it is a nice touch. No ttoo bad at all. mlist55 (210), media, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 22, 2007 Bottle. Pours dark brown, with red when held up to the light. Medium light brown head. Mild aroma of vanilla and some toasted malts and chocolate. Upfront taste is vanilla and then the chocolate and slight bitterness follow. Smooth, sticky, astringent. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 22, 2007 Dark shade of brown with red highlights, but no head. Lots of carbonation-looked almost cola-like. Sweet vanilla and molasses aroma that seemed a little synthetic. Good blend of roasted malts and sharp, acidic, vanilla flavor. Comes across as a bit watery overall though and ends with a sticky, astringent finish. MadIndian (992), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2007 Bottle from Capones. Sampled with Dennis Bell. Mahogany pour with medium thick off white head. Vanilla aroma was definetly present with a mild nose of roast. Smooth taste with hints of vanilla. I don’t know if I can really call this a porter but it was a good brew none the less. TomDecapolis (3149), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 15, 2007 Pours a deep brown with ruby red highlights and a smaller light tan bubby/creamy head tha tleft some lacing. Aroma of vanilla cream soda, some ligth chocolate/roasted malts (very light). Flavor of artificial vanilla. Kind of like vanilla Coke without the Coke. Not really getting much more besides a fake vanilla soda. Sure they probalby used real vanilla bean but it’s just too much and covers up the porter.
