| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Bottle: Pours a medium depth brown with a large beige head and lots of thick lacing. Nose is like a mocha, but with vanilla tones. Like the name implies, taste is plentiful with vanilla, some roasted malt and mocha flavors. So much on the sweeter side that its a bit one dimensional. Good intentions, just a bit overboard on the vanilla. sfhc21 (74), Midlothian, Texas, USA

Vanilla after taste wasn’t too strong, just right. Delightful beer. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 21, 2007 Big vanilla nose, brown body with tan headm quickly left. Nose is vanilla, almost a fakeness to it. Taste well... There is vanilla, and choclate, almost like a milk shake. Odd, not nearly as good as I thought it would be. Mystery 2.0 thanks to SHP555! haddon90 (1036), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2007 Pours a deep, dark brown color with a thin tan head. Vanilla is definitely present in the aroma. Also some brown sugar and possibly molasses. Heavy vanilla presence in the flavor, as well as some roasted malt. A good balance, and done very well. One of the better porter’s I have had. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2007 Warm chocolate chip cookie, in a glass. Another day I might pine for more complexity. But right now, yum. Kinz (2204), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 19, 2007 Deep brown, aroma faintly of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is mostly light coffee and milk chocolate at first, with a hint of vanilla. As it warms, vanilla picks up pace considerably, and in the end is the dominant flavor. Not bad, but almost seemingly artificial, even though I know it isn’t supposed to be. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 19, 2007 Poured a dark brown, with no head. Very slight vanilla aroma...Taste was very unique and quite enjoyable. Sweet chocolate, with some malts, and roasted nuts, followed up with a HUGE sweet vanilla finish...I really liked the vanilla flavor...But I LOVE vanilla flavored anything really. And this vanilla is VERY good...This was such a bizarre tasting beer, but really really good. I think this would be great to cook with, personally, would make a great sweet sauce for a dessert! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2007 12oz. bottle. Chocolate and vanilla aromas. Dark body but held to light a deep red color with tan head. Flavor was like a chocolate vanilla cream soda. High level of carbination as to why I say soda not beer. Nonetheless a decent refreshment while watching some baseball games.
