troyc (1173), Lubbock, Texas, USA Apr 7, 2007 (Tap) Pours a dark brown color with tan head. Strong vanilla aroma with a similar aroma. Great malty flavors impart chocolate and hazelnut flavor into the brew. Nice body, with a really great mouthfeel. Pretty well balanced, but after drinking the bottle, it starts getting a little too sweet. This would be an amazing beer if the vanilla was toned down a bit. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Apr 4, 2007 12 oz. bottle - Pours a clear brown color with a half finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Light roasted malt aroma. The vanilla comes through nicely in the flavor. A smooth, light to medium body beer. Nice beer. The wife really likes it too. hepburn82 (141), Scotland Apr 3, 2007 Draught at ladies night at the brewery - only $1 a pint!! Not the most inspiring porter but perhaps one of the most unique and interesting i’ve tried. Dark, but not black, apperance with light head. A light vanilla aroma along with the dark malts. Initally tastes like a weakish porter them BAM there comes the vanilla which i found slightly overpowering. Not the greatest combo of flavours in my opinion but an interesting beer. Not one i will return to in a hurry. lewis13 (49), Kokomo, Indiana, USA Apr 2, 2007 This does have a very strong vanillia finish and I LOVE it. I think it’s a perfect blend of the two. If you don’t like vanillia, this is not your beer. As far as the porter side goes not sure how it would stand on it’s own without the flavoring, but I guess that doesn’t matter. Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA Mar 31, 2007 Had on tap. Pours black with a red tint. Medium body with a roasty chocolate malt flavor. HUGE vanilla finish. pollardjt (26), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Mar 30, 2007 Too much vanilla and not enough porter. The bland, boring vanilla overpowers the porter flavors. I dont’ like flavored beers to begin with, but I was hoping this would change my mind. It didn’t. strangaj (229), West Chester, Ohio, USA Mar 30, 2007 Fairly dark brown with red tin; still clear enough to be illuminated by light; tan head. Aroma does have a presence of vanilla to accompany the roast. Taste is actually medium-bodied andreflects the aroma but with a heavy maltiness. I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed with this beer. I was expecting a heavy vanilla flavor and almost creamy body. Unfortunately the vanilla flavoring was bland and wak and the body was too light. When I drink this beer I think about the potential it could have and it saddens me. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Mar 27, 2007 Bottle: Black as night, large foamy sand colored head, fairly nice lacing.   Nose is spot on with Tapioca Pudding.   Pale roasted malts, sweet chocolate, and HEAPS of vanilla on the tongue.   This probably has the most vanilla I have ever tasted.   Not a big Porter, but certainly unique, and quite sweet (but not cloying).   Body and mouthfeel are average.   Vanilla oriented chocolate malt finish.   This is a definite dessert beer.   Very little hop presense, moreso the chocolate malt and vanilla.   Pretty tasty...
