Jul 29, 2009 Pours dark brown with light brown to grey head. Nose has a surprising smoky roasty malt quality along with the vanilla. Flavor starts out with roasted flavors, some chocolate, but then just like a spicy food dish that builds in heat... the vanilla bitchslaps you in the face and doesn’t go away. It’s like I’m drinking one of those flavored coffees, but I prefer plain black coffee, and now I’m feeling used and abused.

Jul 16, 2009 This beer is a pretty good porter, but it’s not as good as you want it to be. It does not make the best use of its vanilla flavor, and it doesn’t have too many other standout characteristics about it. Above average, but not earth shattering.

Jul 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is of dark roast malts and light vanilla, and quite sweet. Flavor is of medium chocolate with a slight vanilla aftertaste. Interesting beer; well done.

Jun 27, 2009 Courtesy of markwise. Pours up brown with copper hues and tan head. The aroma is sweet with molasses and prunes. Nice mixture here to create a pleasing aromatic. The taste is chocolate and vanilla revealing a deasert type experience with some roast and mild prune fruity goodness in the background. Very nice tasting brew.

Jun 27, 2009 Bottle courtesy of markwise. Pours a dark cola brown with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of light vanilla, roast, ripe dark fruit, some hints of caramel and coffee. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of vanilla, caramel, ripe fresh fruit, chocolate, hints of brown sugar and honey. Generally medium body with a pleasing malty finish.

Jun 26, 2009 Big thanks to adamharbaugh for this one- I have been anxious to try this one. Pours cola brown with a small off-white head. Nose is roast, vanilla, and slight coffee. Flavor is similar with some sticky vanilla sweetness. Nice mellow porter that is complemented and not overtaken by vanilla. Medium bodied and pretty good overall. Very partakable.
