Apr 22, 2009 Dark brown with a decent tan foamy head. It has the smell of coffee and vanilla. A slight roasty, almost sour taste with a vanilla finish. I didn’t like this beer as much as I thought it would but it wasn’t too bad.

Apr 21, 2009 Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Faint aromas of coffee, chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Flavor is roasty, with a little chocolate and vanilla sweetness. Not bad.

Apr 19, 2009 Sampled on 4/18/2009. This porter pours a deep brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is chocolate and coffee with a touch of vanilla. A medium bodied Porter. The malts are chocolate and coffee. The hops are earthy. There is just a touch of vanilla in this beer. It complements the roasty malts and coffee flavors very well. For a chance a beer that uses vanilla in a good way in a beer. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

The aroma is malt and a hint of vanilla
The taste is sweet malt and vanilla smooth going down and nice vanilla finish

Apr 6, 2009 Deep amber color with a medium tan head. Aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Moderately malty mouth feel with flavors of vanilla and coffee with hints of maple and brown sugar and a slightly bitter finish.

Apr 5, 2009 Poured into an English pint with dark colors. Aromas of chocolate were prominent. Initial flavor of roasted malts and coffee. I was hoping for a stronger vanilla taste, but couldn’t really taste it. Still the palate was good and creamy.

Apr 5, 2009 Pours dark brown with a small tan head and decent lacing. Light in taste and mouthfeel, but still tasty. Very subtle vanilla flavor (to the point that I was disappointed since it is a vanilla porter). Not a bad beer, but nothing to write home about.

Apr 5, 2009 Pours dark ruby, thick beige head that dissipates to a fantastically clingy lacing. Aroma has a faint vanilla hint. Thin mouthfeel, somewhat malty, and the vanilla is very subtle. Really taste it on the back end. Pleasing but not fantastic. It’s not as hardy as I’d expect a porter to be, if it wasn’t for the vanilla, there’d be almost nothing there to taste.
