Commercial Description:
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

Bottle: Pours a medium depth brown with a large beige head and lots of thick lacing. Nose is like a mocha, but with vanilla tones. Like the name implies, taste is plentiful with vanilla, some roasted malt and mocha flavors. So much on the sweeter side that its a bit one dimensional. Good intentions, just a bit overboard on the vanilla.

had at the gingerman in austin , giggity giggity....this beer was made out side the box..STRANGE smell..beutiful look...odd yet strangly delicous, but it goes so down hill after that, i rarely RARELY toss a beer but i had to walk away from this beer, like a thicker flatter sweeter vanilla coke, but if you really like vanilla (which i really thought i did) you might might like it..?

Bottle. Aroma and taste are creamy vanilla. Vanilla is not overpowering, nicely blended in with the beer character. Overall, a very interesting drink, though I am not sure when I would have it again. If you like vanilla, try this one.

On tap at Old Chicago in Peoria, IL. Pours with a two-fingered off-white head that d and leaves a good lace. A deep amber color. Nose is strong vanilla. Starts sweet with the vanilla present but not overbearing slight hop finish. Good carbonation and medium bodied. $3.75 for 16oz.

Small tan head with a bunch of spotty lace, teeny spotty lace. Clear, chestnut colored brew with a red glow. Nose is vanilla and vanilla with a hint of chocolate. Body is lightly medium, sorta creamy. Sweet malts, not cloying though, light roast, cocoa and vanilla of course and some faint cherry notes. Lightly sweet finish, vanilla extract like. Thanks to jake65 for the bottle!

(bonus brew from ughsmash)dark brown with an off-white head that fades fast.aroma is loaded with syrupy vanilla, and is then followed with brownies, and chocolate cake.a little over the top on the sweetness if ya ask me.flavor is much of the same with the vanilla really dominating.as with the aroma, the sweetness in the flavor is just to much.

On tap at the Ale House in Grand Junction. Pours a dark brown with a small white head. The aroma is milky chocolates. The flavor is similarly dominated by milk chocolates and a light vanilla bean. Pretty nice and easy to drink.
