Aroma of vanilla Coke and malts. Taste is like drinking a vanilla cola with roasted faint malts. Nothing special here. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 28, 2008 Bottle. Poured a black color with a two finger tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and vanilla. Very sweet vanilla to the taste. I didn’t like this initially, but it grew on me after a while. Decent beer. OldGrowth (1426), North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 7, 2009 pint @ Tyler’s Apex, Good aroma, sweet. roasty. Coffee, vanilla are what I get. Orangy brown color, good head that faded. Minor lace. Bitter sweet flavor, more of the vanilla comes out, really balances the roast side of it. Medium body, oily creamy mouth feel, sweet bitter finish. I had my doubts going into it and came out mildly impressed, vanilla added a nice touch. It came out more as I rolled it on my tongue. drowland (1418), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

It’s there, but quite subtle. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 17, 2007 Bottle. Pourss dark brown with some rich ruby highlights. Fairly muted nose of roasted malt, some artificial vanilla and Hershey’s mike chocolate. Roasted malt with a hint of toffee nuttyness on the palate. There’s a hint of metallic alcohol astringincy that was a tad offputting. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Very average if unforgettable porter. Bullit (1384), Glasgow, Scotland

This is your porter if your into vanilla Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Pours a nearly black hue with a nice white head that clings to the glass with all its might Coffee milkshake aroma gets my mouth watering in anticipation. While I don’t usually dig vanilla in beer, this example is rather enjoyable. There’s enough chocolatey flavors in this one to balance out any extract like vanilla flavor that I usually associate with vanilla brews. I actually found this one to be quite enjoyable.
