Commercial Description:
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

Can definitely taste the sweet, familiar vanilla coming through. Same color and thickness of pure vanilla extract. Wish the other flavors were more dominant. One dimensional.

While being slighly weak for a porter the flavor has some roastedness and vanilla flavor. The aroma is lightly vanilla and roasted with a dark brown color with a short lived tan head.

Variety 6 from Woodman’s. One hell of an interesting beer. Smooth as hell. The vanilla just rolls over your tongue with a nice roasty porter taste in there too, but nothing on the palate left me desiring more from this one.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium sized beige head that hangs on for a bit. The aroma is coffee, roasted malt, light chocolate, and vanilla. The flavor comes off a bit sweeter than the aroma let on. The vanilla and roasted malt take center stage with the coffee and chocolate moving more toward the finish. Medium/medium-full mouthfeel and easy to drink. I am surprised this isn’t rated higher.

Pours out black with a moderate tan head. Aroma is of vanilla and slight roasted malt. Taste is vanilla, roasted malt and a touch of other sugary sweetness. Sweetness lingers a bit too long on the finish, but otherwise this isn’t a bad beer.

This wasnt bad at all. Pours out a darker brown color with nearly no head. aroma was sweet, malty, and of course had plenty of vanilla in to. Flavor did as well. Flavor was choco, and roasted malt, but the finish was all vanilla.

12 oz bottle via Mystyery Swap 2.0 (thanks shp555!). This one pours a dark brown almost black with a tiny beige head. Nose is mostly vanilla and roasted barley. Taste is vanilla, chocolate, raisins, and perhaps even a little milk lactose. Medium body, moderate to high carbonation. Pretty good and easy to drink, although i would prefer less carbonation.

12 oz. bottle provided to me by Ohiodad via trade, thank you Scott. aptly named, "vanilla" porter. aroma and flavor is dominated by it! pours a milk chocolate brown with a short lived off-white head. vanilla is rather overpowering at first, but mellows out some as I work my way down the snifter. an easy drinking porter.
