| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Not as opaque as some Porters, but still dark. A small white head. Good carbonation on the pour. Lots of sweet vanilla in the nose. Some roasted notes as well. The flavor delivers what the aroma promised, lots of vanilla and sweet flavors dominate. A little thin on the palate. FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma was tangy, roasty, malty and had a moderate vanilla element. The flavor was lightly bitter, roasty and had a moderately strong vanilla (somewhat artificial) flavor and a light floral hop presence. Nice. My wife like this one much better than I did though. A smooth, dark porter that pours a decent head, clean palate, roasted malt qualities.
Solid mouth feel with a strong vanilla, chocolate flavor. keoki182 (305), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Enjoyed out of the bottle from Jeff’s Spirits on Main. Beautiful light vanilla nose, hints of roasted malts. First sip is kind of surprising, tastes sharp, like vanilla-infused vodka. I didn’t like my first sip at all. Once the beer warmed slightly, the vanilla flavor merged much more gracefully with the roasted malt flavor (burnt and smoky). 10 minutes in, I found this to be a very good albeit nontraditional porter from Breckenridge. Good stuff. Cybercat (819), Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2009 This one pours a deep, opaque sable with a fairly thick light tan head. Aroma is smoky and coffee-ish with an overtone of vanilla, a little like coffee with vanilla flavored cream added. Flavor is strongly of fine roast coffee with a sweet vanilla overtone. Texture is very smooth, almost flat and just a little fizzy. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 15, 2007 bottle - Pours very dark brown with a thin head. Roasted malts and vanilla are present in the light aroma and more-so in the flavor. Smooth and medium bodied, it has ample vanilla flavor. While quite good, it could have used a little stronger roast malt backbone.
