This one pours a dark brown almost black with a tiny beige head. Nose is mostly vanilla and roasted barley. Taste is vanilla, chocolate, raisins, and perhaps even a little milk lactose. Medium body, moderate to high carbonation. Pretty good and easy to drink, although i would prefer less carbonation. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Pours dark brown. A thinner crème head doesn’t stick around long. Uneventful nose. Flavor is kind of tangy sweet, but not overpoweringly so. Thin, but good malt character. A bit too much of a sugar edge, but it’s not too bad. Feel is a bit thin on the liquid, but decent still. Minor carbonation. Not too bad a drinker. I could go for more than one, but this might be a good beer to pair with food. I am thinking hot wings or some kind of spicy lamb dish. missing (72), Wichita, Kansas, USA

Aroma is of malt with vanilla and pine. Flavor is smooth and well balanced. A very enjoyable porter (will definitely get again in the future). MadIndian (997), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2007 Bottle from Capones. Sampled with Dennis Bell. Mahogany pour with medium thick off white head. Vanilla aroma was definetly present with a mild nose of roast. Smooth taste with hints of vanilla. I don’t know if I can really call this a porter but it was a good brew none the less. thefederalist (227), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA

Flavor is sweet but not excessive. I consider this to be a nice dessert beer. glennmastrange (865), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2009 Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of cereal and mild coffee, light hop and yeast notes of herbs and earth, with cola, vanilla and bourbon without the alcohol. Head is small, frothy, light brown with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear dark brown with a red tint. Flavor is moderately sweet and lightly acidic to start and finishes lightly sweet. Palate is medium, oily and has a soft carbonation. I’m not used to having vanilla in my beer, but this fit this Porter very well. I liked it overall. Very sweet, kinda glad I only bought 1. Wouldn’t of been able to drink another consecutively. But the one I had, I enjoyed. blutt59 (2153), Dallas, Texas, USA
