The initial aroma was almost sour but quickly turned to mild malt, cocoa, and faint vanilla. The flavor however is pretty big vanilla. Also malt, chocolates and nutty. Not bad. animal8788 (32), Austin, Texas, USA

The nose has a smooth vanilla smell, a little sweet. It has a creamy texture and tastes just like cream soda. Tastes like cream and coffee in the aftertaste. “Refreshingly different. It needs to be a change of pace beer,” – Brad. Kind of sweet in the aftertaste, I wish it was a little more bitter right at the end. starflyer58 (26), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

The aroma was good, a mixture of roasted chocolate, coffee, nut, and caramel malt, with a slight vanilla tone. It had a dark color, basically black, with a fairly small, short-lived, off-white head. It’s flavor was predominantly sweet, with a vanilla tone, a touch of nut, and slight sourness. The palate was pretty wet and it had a very full, creamy mouthfeel, but only average to light carbonation. I liked this beer, it had good character, and was very drinkable. Rich vanilla and chocolate aroma. Rich vanilla and chocolate taste. Vanilla and a bit of grassy hops and roasted nuts. I really like vanilla. I’ve even liked it in some dark beers. But this seems like a bit much. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

Very slight vanilla aroma...Taste was very unique and quite enjoyable. Sweet chocolate, with some malts, and roasted nuts, followed up with a HUGE sweet vanilla finish...I really liked the vanilla flavor...But I LOVE vanilla flavored anything really. And this vanilla is VERY good...This was such a bizarre tasting beer, but really really good. I think this would be great to cook with, personally, would make a great sweet sauce for a dessert! wmubronco1992 (185), Coldwater, Michigan, USA
