| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Bottle. A deep ruby red makes this beer look almost black. A thin tan head tops it off. Aroma is delicious - a milky, vanilla, toffee, frappucinno combo that would be just right if it just had more presence. Flavor is decent - Im not getting the vanilla here more of just a roasted coffee malt bitterness that coats the tongue. Thats about it and doesnt leave much of an impression. asedzie (457), San Francisco, California, USA

Nose is vanilla, chocolate, tiny hints of lactic sourness. Flavor is lightly bitter, with mild bitterness and light astringency lingering in the finish. Palate is very full. Very nice consistency and balance. stoutloveril (21), Freeport, Illinois, USA

Thin head that disappeared quickly. Nice subtly vanilla aroma. Roasted coffee on initial sip, with vanilla aftertaste. If your a vanilla fan, you’ll like this. Averaga porter, but vanilla gives it a drinkable twist. crowderm (285), Recklinghausen, Germany
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 12, 2008 Pours a thin dark brown, with a quickly dying tan head. Has a nice vanilla/malt aroma. Smells and tastes kind of like a vanilla coke. Pretty thin, but smooth mouthfeel. A slightly pungent flavor detracts from the overall experience. Pretty decent brew though. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Very sweet vanilla to the taste. I didn’t like this initially, but it grew on me after a while. Decent beer.
