Commercial Description:
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

Bottle pours dark brown with a small head and some lace. The aroma is sweet malt, coffee, and vanilla. The flavor is certainly highlighted by a lingering vanilla flavor, with a good dose of chocolate and coffee. The palate is a bit thin, but has a nice diminished carbonation making it more natural feeling. Overall, this is pretty good.

Bottle. Dark brown in color with a small brownish head. Sweet vanilla aroma- smells almost fake, but not quite. Too sweet of a flavor for what I was expecting. I have had vanilla beers before that were much less sticky-sweet which I enjoyed more.

Bottle. Poured black color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate roasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture. Medium sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. My expectations were not met.

Bottled. Poured an iced tea/burgundy with little wisps of beige head. Nose was heavily vanilla-centric with lightly-roasted chocolate, too. Vanilla drove the flavor, too... with woodsy notes and mildly charred chocolate behind it. Palate was lighter-bodied, and felt a tad empty across the middle. This was alright.. but missing some complexity. Enjoyed it more as it warmed.

Bottle. Small head on top of dark brown body. Moderate nose has aromas of burnt malts, chocolate, vanilla and plastic, a combination not all that enticing. The sweet vanilla is up front in the flavor, but there is also a moderate bitterness in the finish and an undertone of malts. Midly acidic. Medium body with watery texture.

Though a tad sweeter than I usually go for, this is a highly credible brew. The vanilla presents itself rather subtly in the nose with a touch of smoke swirled through. The palate is a sugary vanilla blended with smoky, rich walnuts.

pours red/brown with diminishing head. aroma does not impress me much..maybe cold coffee. I did however like the taste alot. The vanilla comes out very nicely, the base could have been better though, its a tad too watery. I enjoy this though and would have again, its a very nice change of pace.
