Flavor was Strong nut and malt with a full vanilla taste followed with a milky/creamy finish. A good thick beer. I would buy this beer. Jethro6191 (31), USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 25, 2009 This was one of the first beers I tried when I started getting into craft beer, and I was disappointed in the lack of vanilla. It’s there, but quite subtle. JaBier (1261), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Sample at the Hopsnobbery Collective Porter tasting at Dogbricks on 12/4/08. Opaque medium brown color with a minimal head. Malty aroma with plenty of vanilla. I would have thought too much vanilla would be better than too little, but rethinking that now. Also, this is more of a brown ale than a porter. Kinda tastes like Vanilla Coke mixed with Newcastle.
