Body appears black with ruby highlights when held up to light, there was no trace of any cap by the time the waitress dropped it off in front of me. Flavors are very subtle, roast malts, peat moss, mild coffee, and the faintest touch of a bitter hop presence. Mouth feel is acceptable and after taste is clean and somewhat refreshing. Beer finishes mildly sour but the becomes more evident when beer warms up. Very drinkable beer and of high quality, it’s just lacking any real character." Powertrip (201), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Looks, smells and tastes like a thin stout - hard to find the pilsner yeast. Nose of nuts, cocoa, leather. Honeycomb, roasting herbs, and coffee in the mouth. Finish is medium length. hobbersr (412), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada

Black, slightly transparent, with a nice tan coloured head. Aroma is roasty with some lighter saaz hops showing through. Tastes very nice. Coffee and nuts with a tangy mid palate and a charcoal chocolate nut finish. Very drinkable and nice! JoeZasada (142), Beaumont, Alberta, Canada

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Draught at Hop In Brew Pub, Calgary Dark brown color. Luckily despite the color the roasted malt character is very low. Unluckily it’s missing anything else. Not bad, but too simple Dunkel. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Sweet dark grainy caramel aroma has a hint of floral. Clear, dark chesnut brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Grainy sweet caramel flavour. Medium body is a little thin but is nice. Maybe undercarbonated but overall a nice sweet grain balance. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
