Draft @ BB. Very dark, burnt copper color with no head. Aroma of toast and nuts. Carmel maltiness with an overcooked broccoli taste. No hops in the flavor or aroma and no bitterness. When I asked the pimply-faced kid who was waiting on us (who clearly hated his job and/or people) if I could instead have the barley wine, he informed me that the reason I didn’t like the IPA was that is was strong and bitter and the barley wine was even stronger so... "May I suggest the Lucky Lady Lager? It’s just like Coors Light or Bud Light.". The barley wine turned out to be pretty good.
