Pouring with a moderate foamy white head which shrank away to a thin layer in short order, this one’s colour was an attractive dark amber, and cloudy to boot. The aroma was only a bit of malt, and at first the taste was ’odd’ to say the least. However, after allowing the beer to ’breathe’ in the glass for a few minutes, it did indeed taste like an amber ale and quite a nice one at that. Mouthfeel and aftertaste were quite acceptable. Kudos for the one litre swing top bottle.

Clear copper amber, moderate foamy head. Caramel and vaguely fruity aroma. Sweet caramel malt, creamy mouthfeel. A little too much sweetness for me after a while-- I’m glad I shared this one. Not bad.

(1 litre bottle) Pours a large, beige, non-dissipating head and a deep brown body. Nose of tart hops. SOUR! Oh, so sour. Hoppy and yeasty. Likely spoiled...

Sweet malt and caramel, light smoke and organic notes underneath a bright copper color and bubbly, light colored head. Sweet body, brown sugar, almost cloying at the front. Gets into some organic, light hops, hints of yeast as well.

Copper amber look, bright white head. Nice classy looking beer . Malt base, lighter aroma. Clean light body, refreshing, slightly to thin for strong ale, woody.

Copper colour with a decent white head. Nice smells of a great balance of malt and hops with a sweet essence. Medium-bodied; Subtle maltiness with a fairly sweet flavour. Aftertaste pretty bland with a bit of bitterness. Not bad, but not too great. Thanks Jeremy for bringing the growler and letting us all sample it! I sampled this beer at Joey_Capps' on 13-September-2003 in Hamilton, Ontario.
