Spice and fruit nose. Pink grapefruit and ripe melon. The taste, unfortunately isn’t as good. First taste is dishwater with hops, a faint amount of malt and alcohol burning in my chest. Weak palate. Disappointing. bhensonb (4387), Woodland, California, USA

Flavor is rather sweet - not caramel though - candi and pale malt? Leaves the mouth peppery/tingly. Finish is drier than expected. Hop was light. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Medium sized white head, not as heavy as i wouldve expected, and a little creamier as well. marcus (1904), Sacramento, California, USA

A bit of candy sugar sweetness. a bit of alcohol heat and nice yeast notes. White fruit notes almost saunignon Balnc in character. Shadallion (526), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 4, 2004 A very drinkable, relatively unchallenging example of an American trippel, but that’s sometimes a good thing - not every Belgian needs to be Orval. This one has a nice bananna-clove character with very mild leatheriness. Goes down smooth and at 8% watch out baby. The best of the Brew It Up house beers. beerguy101 (3972), Newark, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2004 Medium orange color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. Malts are fruity (orange and peaches). Spicy as expected, but missing some of the yeasty nature you would expect in a triple. The 10.5% alcohol is well hidden, but there is a touch of an alcohol bite. Very drinkable with a nice slight sweet fruity finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
