12 ounce sample at the brewpub. Spiced, aromatic/cinnamon/brown sugar aroma. A bit spicy with some metallic notes and quaffable pumpkin. Very pleasing aroma. Transparent amber body with a smallish off-white head and fair lacing present. Very sweet, sticky, chewy malty start. Plenty of pumpkin flavor in the middle with some light spiciness present. A little vinous to finish. Caramel, butterscotch sweetness is also present. Pretty straight-forward and it becomes pretty cloying the more I drink. Ok in small doses.

Draft at the brewpub. A pumpkin ale. Beautiful mahogany color with a nice, fine off-white head. Spicey, "Xmas", brown sugar aroma. Full bodied with smooth carbonation. The flavors are roasted malt, Belgian spice, a touch of evergreen(?). Also seems to have a bit of vanilla. The finish is slightly sweet and very smooth. Some bitter builds up. Alcohol lurks. You’d never know it was a pumpkin ale unless you sw the badge on the tap handle (and/or asked what it is). Flavor develops further as it warms.
