Commercial Description:
Mild, light and slightly sweet. A real thirst quencher.

Very clear golden shade. Light white cover. A small note of plastic, like I frequently pick out in honey beers) disturbs the otherwise subtle, slightly grainy, timidly honeyed flavour spectrum. Very thin, yet its soft bubbles feel coherent. The honey can be perceived, but is subtle enough that I probably would not have picked it were it not in the beer’s name. Surprisingly not very sweet, not much anything in fact as simple as it is. After their schwarzbier, this was wholly superior, but still, I doubt I’d buy any bottle if I were to pass by the Brew Kettle again. Too bad because their draught offerings were great.

(Rating #2047)

My Bottom Line:
This quiet session ale whispers a few sweet cereal notes which are quickly waterswept into a clean but eminently forgettable vehicle.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thin film of foam floats atop the pale honey gold.
-The nose is rather bland and watery; there is barely any honey to be found, or any other pleasant character for that matter.
-Bubbles are disparate and soft; from the two bottles I’ve tasted from these guys, I can say they’ve had some issues with tranferring their beers to bottles.
-Malt character could definitely be bumped up a bit without taking away from the high drinkability.
-The flavor profile is so reclusive, there really is not much to say about this beer.

Bottle.

Bomber bottle from Brew Kettle. Pours clear amber color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium balanced sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of an average duration. My expectation where met.

This bottled brew poured a very large head of finely sized white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body was transparent softly carbonated and orange in color. It had a mild honey wheat aroma and a tingly mouth feel that was mildly off. It had a honey wheat malt flavor.

Bottle. Large creamy and smooth white head and fine-small sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. Fast rising carbonation, transparent and a yellow hue. Malty, lightly hoppy, sweet, and fruity aroma. The flavor was sweet, malty and hoppy from start to finish. Tingly and watery-thin palate. Light bodied beer with very sparse lacing.

Light amberish w/ a lasting just off white head. Honey aroma fairly prevalent with a bready malt. Pretty clean otherwise. Some grainy malt as it warms. Flavor is slightly sweet grainy and well balanced, light hop flavor and hints of bitterness; light acidity flavor from carbonation. Finish is on the medium dry side w/ a hop flavor in the aftertaste. Lighter body w/ a carbonic bite, smooth otherwise. Very nice lawnmower beer. Fairly straightforward clean "ale", could use more caramel and hp character.
