brentfeesh (1030), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Mar 11, 2005 22 oz Bottle that I can only assume was bottled in 2005. Pours a very good-looking golden brown with a wispy lite white head. Slow and med. size bubbles. The aroma has malt, and leather and (sadly) a bit of rubbing alcohol (actually the only thing I found offensive about this brew). As for the taste, leather comes to mind, as does lite wood and hops. The body is somewhat watery with a dryish finish. I know this description is not very appealing but the beer is OK. While I was not that impressed, I drank the whole bottle and I would not turn it down if given in the future. Drew (2406), Kent, Ohio, USA Mar 1, 2005 Dark golden color (surprised, I thought it would be a lighter color), medium sized head, pretty good lacing. Aroma was malty and lightly sweet. Taste is bready malts, some fruityness, medium bodied, light bitterness is always in the background. kujo9 (1077), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA Sep 11, 2004 Bottle: Deep gold body w/ a short lived white head. Sanitizer predominates! Very light malt comes in second, then a stronger fruitiness. Sanitizer still very apparent in the flavor, light fruitiness, well balanced. Highly carbonated, smooth! Not a very good Koelsh IMHO, but not a horrible beer! Bland, boring, but better than BMC crap, even with santizer!
