Commercial Description:
Dark Side (of the Moon) Stout - is strong, dark and full flavoured. The chocolate malts and roast barley balance the higher alcohol, giving a beer that is creamy and easy to drink.

Blind tasting at Papsoe’s. Reddish, brown colour with a weak head. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Flavour of malt, caramel, and chocolate. Ends up sweet - very high carbonated.

Pours a clear dark, dark brown with an off-white diminishing head. Sweet with a light bitterness. Aromas of toasted malts and a hint of coffee. Also a hint of licoroce. Medium bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. Bitter finish.

Bottle in Christchurch, New Zealand. Black beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly roasted and the flavour is mildy roasted and lightly dry. Overall a reasonable plain but strong stout.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a fast disappearing chocolate brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops and grapefruit as well as notes of roasted malt. The flavor has notes of roasted malt and dark bitter chocolate with a dry roasted finish, that is acompanied by a slight hop acid burn in the throat. Thanks to Papsoe for hauling this home from NZ.

Black with tiny beige head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt and coffee. The somewhat sweet flavor goes same way. Ends sweet and light bitter.
