The European Strong Lager pours a very dark black color from a 12 oz bottle. Small to medium sized beige foamy head. The aroma is roasty malts, coffee and some chocolate. A medium to full bodied black lager. The malts are caramel, chocolate, coffee and some dark fruits. The hops are grapefruity and floral. Nice carbonation. Really hides the alcohol well. There is a lot of chocolate and coffee flavors here, with just a touch of sweetness at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
