Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
This is a very drinkable beer and my expectations where met. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Mar 17, 2009 66cl bottle. Orange with a lasting white head. Cadied grapefruit, tangerine, doughy pastry, and light spice in the aroma. The flavor is medium-sweet dough and honey malt, with lots of citrus and a medium-strong bitter finish. Very light alcohol, but enough body to indicate it’s strength, though it is not thick by any measure. There is a great balance between malt and hops, though the hops dominate slightly in the finish, as it should be in the style. Definitely a lot of American influence in this one. PJClarke (609), London, Greater London, England Mar 15, 2009 A good hearty looking beer. Strong aromas here containing but not entirely restricted to: Marzipan, mango, confectioners banana, hops, sherry, butter and brandy. In the mouth the mango really hits hard with a slight metallic edge. It’s very sweet and sticky. Intensely rich also with some bitterness buy a thick fruity sweetness in the finish. Thick and boozy. Pretty special if a little odd. leaparsons (4659), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Mar 13, 2009 Cask, Leicester Fest 09. Lightly hazy gold with a thin head.
