| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 17, 2009 66cl bottle. Orange with a lasting white head. Cadied grapefruit, tangerine, doughy pastry, and light spice in the aroma. The flavor is medium-sweet dough and honey malt, with lots of citrus and a medium-strong bitter finish. Very light alcohol, but enough body to indicate it’s strength, though it is not thick by any measure. There is a great balance between malt and hops, though the hops dominate slightly in the finish, as it should be in the style. Definitely a lot of American influence in this one. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 15, 2009 A good hearty looking beer. Strong aromas here containing but not entirely restricted to: Marzipan, mango, confectioners banana, hops, sherry, butter and brandy. In the mouth the mango really hits hard with a slight metallic edge. It’s very sweet and sticky. Intensely rich also with some bitterness buy a thick fruity sweetness in the finish. Thick and boozy. Pretty special if a little odd. leaparsons (4710), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
