Whether you had the "new" or "old" version can be determined by reference to the batch number and the best before date. Glad someone shared this one with me. Pours a golden body with a white head. Floral honey hoppiness with some grapefruit and pine. Nice alcohol warming with a mild bitterness. Decent.

Bottle. Batch 001. Pours cloudy orange/gold with thick, lacy white head. Aroma is sweet with a little yeast and malt. Flavor is bitter floral hops with a very dry finish.

I have had a couple of other beers from them and this one just wasn’t as good. Pours a clear gold, much lighter than I expected and a small lacy white head. Aroma of malt, with hops being a second almost which I wouldn’t expect from an Imperial IPA. Not much citrus at all, but a little floral hops. Higher ABV for the flavor in my opinion. Average.

Much better than anything else I’ve tried from these guys...this one was drinkable!!! Crystal clear brass color with a small fizzy head that left minimal lacing. Aroma is more fruity than most IIPAs; not citrus and pine but more tropical influences of papaya and mango. Flavor is Del Monte fruit cocktail in a can and actually has a slight metallic quality. Medium mouthfeel and pretty good!!! Finally!!!

Bottle (batch 207) from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear golden color with a 1/2 finger thick off white head. Lacing is a nice coverage of tiny spots. Aroma is toasted doughy malt, fruity esters, and floral hops. Flavor is sweetened toasted malt, esters, and a lighter hop presence than I expected. I get a hint of metal in the finish. Medium body. A decent beer, but lacks a little in all departments.

Along with the Punk IPA there was the Hardcore IPA at my brewstore so I got em both, heres the other review. Initial impression: Kind of like 90 minute IPA, but more dry. Pours a perfectly clear light copper with some mild head and leaves mild lacing. Aroma of some carmely malt (guessing crystal and a touch of munich) and some sweet east coast style hop aroma. Flavor is thick and rich with some good creaminess. Carmel, cream and a touch of peach/apple flavor profile. Palate is rich, smooth, a touch creamy, and definitely high finishing gravity, I like. Overall its pretty good, but lacking a certain something. I think the flavor compounds are good, but need to be kicked up a notch. Maybe a higher mash temperature and a bit more grain and hops would make an amazing beer.

Bomber courtesy of lukin013. Aroma of may be some apriccots or peaches.. Cloudy yellow body with white head. Flavor had a citric acid bitterness thoughout. Seemed like I was chewing on citrus with the thick body for this brew. Definently unique kind of IIPA from the ones I’ve had before.
