| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 24, 2008 Bottle my friend Jan got me as comission for helping him with booze and beer for his party and I happily accepted this pricey Foreign DIPA. Pours a light orange with a big puffy tan head. Nose is hoppy and citrussy with light grapefruit, reminiscent of an East Coast DIPA. Guess this is really east east east east coast (east coast of Scotland). Taste is sweet and hoppy and very bitter. The issue for me here is that the nose doesn’t match the taste. The taste and mouth feel is obnoxious a bit too metallic and thin for me. Could be much better, I guess its hard to get a SD boy’s palate to do well on a mediocre DIPA. caesar (3032), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands

Aroma of hop, grapefruit, flowery. Quite bitter taste. But not as strong as most other double IPAs. Bit ’emo’ instead of hardcore.
