Bottled @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Aroma has piney hops, bit floral and citric. Slightly, hazy yellow coloured with a thin, white head. Taste is bitter, a little sweet, has citrus. Okay, but the suggests something more heavy.

Appearance: hazy dark yellow, wispy white head, webs of lace,
Aroma: sweet fruity malt aroma with nice floral hops,
Flavor: sweet malt flavor, nice fruityness, lots of floral and earthy hops, touch of citrus, nice spicyness, sweet butterscotch balances the hops and gives it an English quality, light bitterness rises out of the hop flavor and leaves a long bitter finish,

Bottle acquired in trade with alexsdad06. Bottle labeled batch 001 BB 03/03/08. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a larger sized white head. Aromas of citrus, caramel, and floral. Tastes of caramel, sugary sweetness, pine, and citrus. Overly sweet without a bitter balance. Alcohol content well hidden. Some lacing left on the glass.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, pale yellow body with a medium-sized, white head. Smell: Distinct butterscotch candy scent with additional notes of lemon and grass. Taste: Buttery candy taste with some grass and citrus creme. Medium-high bitterness. Lemony buttercream frosting. Finishes with a long, lingering bitterness. Hmm. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A bit odd, but it’s okay if you can stand a fair amount of diacetyl.

Bottle my friend Jan got me as comission for helping him with booze and beer for his party and I happily accepted this pricey Foreign DIPA. Pours a light orange with a big puffy tan head. Nose is hoppy and citrussy with light grapefruit, reminiscent of an East Coast DIPA. Guess this is really east east east east coast (east coast of Scotland). Taste is sweet and hoppy and very bitter. The issue for me here is that the nose doesn’t match the taste. The taste and mouth feel is obnoxious a bit too metallic and thin for me. Could be much better, I guess its hard to get a SD boy’s palate to do well on a mediocre DIPA.

Bottled @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Clear yellow color, short head. Aroma of hop, grapefruit, flowery. Quite bitter taste. But not as strong as most other double IPAs. Bit ’emo’ instead of hardcore.
