Jul 26, 2009 Bottle. Really thin head but holds a white ring. Dark amber. Sour malt and alcohol aroma. No carbonation. More like a still BW. A trace on the syrupy side. Hoppy but tame. High alcohol. No life or pizzazz. Really makes you think about the meaning of life when a beer doesn’t measure up to expectations. Good thing that I have one Victory Hop Devil left1

clear golden yellow, smooth white head.
flowery wooden, mellow hoppy aroma.
flavor is malt, hops, bitterhops, flowery hops, citrus.
palate is veryt smooth.
something in the hop profile is a bit strange, otherwise a decent strong hoppy ipa.

Sep 5, 2009 Bottle, from Sainsburys, Hessle- batch 195 bbe 15/07/10. Deep gold, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Big hop resin nose but not quite as raw as with the Chaos Theory, some solid malty sweetness in the background along with bready notes and a fruity spirit kick. Full and sweet in the mouth with hints of toffee, citrus and peach, theres plenty of hop bitterness attempting a balance but as with the Chaos it appears, erm, somewhat chaotic at times, finish is alcoholic, full and sweet with a solid hop resin note but muted bitterness , and ulitimately quite sticky.

Feb 1, 2008 Pours out in a clear golden colour with a rich white foam. Sharp, almost acidic aroma of green apples and grapefruit. Hmmm. . Almost shockingly hoppy flavour of grapefruit, wet grass and pine without almost no residual sugars at all. Medium to full bodied. Long bitter finish of wet grass, sweat and lemon. Not your typical US Impy IPA, quite weird, but still charming.

Feb 1, 2009 Moderate hops. Clear gold color. Light hops flavor and a solid palate. Some citrus and a little pine. I am surprised the alcohol is so high, it was well hidden in the flavor.

Jun 7, 2008 Bottled @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Aroma has piney hops, bit floral and citric. Slightly, hazy yellow coloured with a thin, white head. Taste is bitter, a little sweet, has citrus. Okay, but the suggests something more heavy.

Aug 2, 2008 330ml bottle (bb.01.01.09) from Utobeer, London. Clear, light golden body under a frothy, white head. Fragile lacings on the glass. Sweet fruity aroma with malty hints. Rather racy flavour of fruity and earthy hops supported by dried fruits and a slight yeasty touch. Tingling alcohol on the swallow together with a long-lived smooth bitterness. Good brew, but a found it quite heavy to drink (Tromsø, 01.08.2008).

Aug 13, 2008 650, capped. Pours crystal clear medium golden amber with a loose and frothy white head. Intermittent lace. Puts up a fairly pungent nose of mango, tangerine, caramel, and a bit of butterscotch. Medium, creamy body. Soft carb. All the fruits and sweets return for the mid-palate. Maybe a bit of diacetyl happening here. Overall, it’s a sweet and very drinkable DIPA, maybe a bit buttery, but hides the booze well and is fairly refreshing for the level of sugars knocking around.
