Batch 001 BB 03/03/09; Nose of light flowery hops, and sweet lightly buttered carrots; carrot juice orange with a small yellow head; flavor of hop bitterness, some sweetness in the fairly thick body, and a diacetyl note; not horribly strong but noticeable. Kind of like the Punk IPA. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 19, 2007 33 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Clear golden colour with a little head. Hoppy nose with hints of grapefruit, and citrus. Also flavour of grapefruit, citrus, peach and alcohol. Not a very amarican style IIPA, need a lot of caramel. But not bad anyway. notalush (2683), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 27, 2009 Best before 2/2/10 - pours a lightly hazy gold with a soapy lace - earthy, kind of sweaty aroma, with some notes of apricot, grapefruit, some crackery malt - moderate carbonation, medium body - starts rather sweet and sugary, but a rather dry bitterness squashes this pretty fast - a really strong grapefruit pith flavor borderlines on unpleasant after a while - ends dry, almost flinty, and strongly bitter - it ain’t bad, just a little out of balance. nick76 (2678), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 11, 2009 The aroma is very hoppy with pineapple, citrus, and caramel malt. The appearance is golden with an amber hue. The flavor is like the aroma but astringent. The palate is average for the style. Overall this is actually a pretty average imperial IPA. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 17, 2009 Bottle: Hazy orange with a dense off white film. Sweet cookieish malt aroma with apparent caramel, dough, and some mild pine & grapefuit. Slick with mild carbonation- cask-like feel. Sugary and citric flavor upfront- lots of caramel & honeyish maltose with a cookie like character throughout followed by a grapefruit and late long piny finish. A bit in-cohesive and sugary in it’s sugary fore and that abrupt piny bitterness. Eh. downender (2629), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
