| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 21, 2008 pours a lifeless, hazy, murky gold with no head. juicy appearance. aromas of toffee, lemony hops, and tea. flavor is unique with a earthy, herbal tone, tropical fruits, and buttery toffee doughy tasting malts. hints of mint and other leafy greens. not very carbonated. a dash of alcohol shows in the finish. this is a weird one. not diggin’ it. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Batch - 207 / BBD 2/2/10 - Pours orange-ish light amber with a small off-white head. The aroma has sweet toasted malt, light caramel and minor toffee, but no noticeable hops - bad sign for an IIPA. Medium slick body with minor carbonation and a bit of a sickly feeling. The flavor starts with bread-like toffee malt with a definite smoothness to the taste. There are some slight woody hops, but that’s it. The finish has some medicinal and mineral traits. This doesn’t really strike me as a double IPA. cheapdark (2046), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Strongish dull Ipa aroma. Some carbonation but mostly a big alky laden mildly hoppy beer. Don’t think this reaches douple IPA form. Rather smoothgoing down. Long bitter terrible linger for a finish. Almost on style. SHIG (2039), Aviano, Italy

The aroma is Fruit with a very hoppy nose tingling smell. The taste is hoppy and acidic on my tongue, very impressive. Finish is a dry bitter, but pleasant as well!
