Nose is lightly spicey, lightly perfumey and earthy. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation level. Medium fruity flavors, light floral notes, caramel malt hints at you with a bit of woodiness gaining ground as it warms, interesting. Finish is fairly dry, lightly fruity, gently bitter and woody, ABV is non evident. Neat little brew that i,ll try again. Thanks to Robert @statelineliquors for sharing the bottle! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2009 This was from batch 261 and dated best before 20/09/10. The batch number bears no relation to the 037 in the Admin note but from the BBD it would seem to be the new recipe. It poured a hazy orange with a small white head and light lacing. The first whiff of the the nose is apple, and then it moves toward citrus, flowers, and even some pine. Full and rich mouthfeel. Flavor is a good balance of caramel malts and bitter hops, leading to a long bitter alcoholic finish from the 9% ABV brew. Marsiblursi (1650), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 8, 2008 (Bottle) Pours golden with an off white head. The aroma is hoppy with tones of grapefruit, orange, grass and some flowers and fruity with tones of peach, melon and apricot. The maltiness is sweet, bready, cookie-ish, mild caramel, honey and hints of hay. Hints of sulphur and vanilla as well. The flavour is heavily grapefruity and resiny hoppy with a sweet malt backdrop. Some tropical fruitiness. Medium sweet. The finish is heavily resiny hoppy with lingering hay like malt. The mouthfeel is sharp, yet soft. A bit too much alcohol both in the aroma and flavour. Medium bodied. kiefdog (1631), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 8, 2009 Bomber from Whole Foods (Tampa, FL). Pours a slightly hazy golden to amber color with thin white head that leaves slight lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of floral hops, citrus, grapefruit, light pine, spice, hints of malty caramel. Flavor is hoppy from the start with notes of grapefruit, pine, honey, light spice. Medium body with a bitter hop finish. Seems like it needs a stronger malt backbone. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Pours a dark gold with a creamy one finger off-white head that leaves nice lacing. The nose is caramel and floral hops. The taste is sweet caramel malt, sweet citrus and light resin in the finish. Medium bodied. A tad sweet for my tastes, but not a bad IPA. Doggythedog (1597), Split, Croatia
