Powerful, fresh aroma of candied tropical fruit and those fruit salad chewy sweets from your childhood. Tropical fruits carry on into the flavour with tons of hops, grapefruit, pine, a bit of petrol and a little bitterness. Alcohol very evident. Interesting but vicious - it goes sraight to your head and is very much a beer for sipping. sigma23 (239), , Maine, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2009 New Version. Orange colour, with a good white head and fast bubbles. Smell is big, strong and citrusy with lots of lemony hops. Fresh with a distinctive clarity. Taste is much the same, very strong with lots of alcohol, a little citrus and very VERY bitter hops. Drying, completely, with only a touch of malt sweetness. Unbalanced, yes, but sometimes that can be a great thing. jesperhammer (343), Copenhagen, Denmark

Batch 057 (I think - letters are very small, and ABV is high!) before date:15-11-10, so I guess this is the new version.
Quite light in colour with orange hue, and almost white head.
Lovely grape fruit nose. Very bitter, very little malt - unfortunately. Not so IIPA, more like a hardcore IPA.:-)
Lacks some in creaminess, and is a bit onedimensional. Still I enjoy it. Especially the long lasting taste. arminjewell (150), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 24, 2009 Old version, poured amber with a nice lasting head. Aroma was floral and herbal, with slight burnt malts. Taste was british hops up front, with some burnt toast malt that leads to a hop bitterness in the end. Overall a decent DIPA, but not the usual flavors. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Gold/amber with a smooth white head. Citrus and pine hop aroma, floral and a bit earthy.More earthy then most Northwest IPAs, soft bready malts up front, lingering citrus in the end. Very nice IIPA, while it doesn’t seem to be as full bodied as most, but very enjoyable. jazz88 (2239), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Bottle. Batch #261 BBD 20/09/10. A medium golden color with minimal head. It seemed a little flat. A syrupy sweet aroma dripping with pine and hops. A sharp bitter bite. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 2, 2008 Tasting - Perfect Pour. Gold, thin white head. Soft aromas of citrus and cedar wood warm to a light swirls of caramel. Tangerine and tropical fruit flavors ride notes of toffee from start to finish. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, bittersweet finish. A mellow D-IPA that seemed to work for me...
